Easy DIY Touch Up Paint

Nobody likes scratches ruining the cherry paint job of their car. On top of compromising the appearance, they can spread and become far worse if left to their own devices. So, responsible vehicle owners know to deal with these problems right away. The problem is, most people tend to think that they need a professional to do it, spending a fortune and a lot of time having superficial scratches buffed out at an auto body shop.

The truth is, you can easily fix this yourself with a little bit of warm water, soap, sandpaper and a toothpick or matchstick. First, simply wash the scratch out with the soap and water. Then, if it’s a shallow scratch, simply sand the area smooth with 220 grit sandpaper. If it’s deeper, you’ll want to use something more like 600 grit, and you want to apply and buff some primer. After this, you simply use the toothpick or matchstick to lightly apply the touch up paint. That’s it, there’s nothing else to it. 20 minutes of your time is all it took to fix this problem!
